Led a team of 6 broadcast and print journalists to report on soldiers at work in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Supervised media coverage of the Army’s retrograde from Iraq in 2011 and increased media interest by 30 percent. Managed a staff of 12 combat photographers assigned to the subordinate units. Published 300 press releases and over 500 photos, detailing the capture of enemy strongholds, weapons, and supplies. Referenced in news articles by The NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, and Xinhua News Agency.

Wrote the communication plan for an Army Reserve division’s mobilization for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Media outreach efforts resulted in a 10-minute National Public Radio feature by Michelle Norris on soldiers preparing for the Iraq War. Led a team of 33 machine operators, six set-up men and three material handlers in injection blow and extrusion blow molding for the production of Nalgene plastic bottles. Reduced plastic scrap levels by 25 percent through more efficient start up of machines. Wrote standard procedures for plastic clean room operations and printing techniques.
